Extraordinary collection of work where each project goes its own expected more intricate way,  its involved, goes on an exploration and makes simply beautiful viewing.  Treat your senses, take a look.

Yessss!!! Heres to championing positive change

April 19, 2011

The D&AD White Pencil is awarded to a creative idea that that changes the world for the better.

This is brilliant! Big organisations like D&AD championing the power and possibilities of design, giving a platform for the creative community to work on a set project that they can control the direction of and feel hugely passionate about and to then award and celebrate the work.

The background:

“It’s about harnessing that power to make a real difference in the world around us. It’s about demonstrating the hidden potential in D&AD’s remit of the perpetuation of creative communication. And most importantly to realise our communities ability to lend huge impact and strength to the campaigning voices of others and bring their messages and demands for change to the widest and most powerful audience.

And if you are a creative person the White Pencil is a challenge. We want you to use your talent and skills to respond to the brief that we, and our partner, are setting you and your peers. The reward is huge – seeing your ideas make a positive difference to issues that affect all of humanity.”

My love for ink has been rekindled  in a recent project I have been doing. It’s beautiful, the fluidity and  freedom captured is just so nice!

Watercolour has competition in my life!

An illustration by Rosalind Maroney.  An innocent simple charm with a witty execution.  I have fallen in love.
